Liverpool will be desperate to get back to winning ways in front of their home fans after last week's 4-1 demolishing at the hands of Napoli.
Jurgen Klopp's side haven't had the start to the season that they were anticipating so far, finding themselves down in sixth place, already six points off the pace of the Premier League leaders.
The Reds lost just four games in all competitions last season and have already lost two this time out, having played just seven games.
Ajax go into the game at Anfield having won all of their last seven games, and without having conceded in their last five.
The Dutch champions top the league currently with six wins from six, and got their Champions League campaign off to the perfect start with a 4-0 win over Rangers last weekend.
The two sides met in the group stage two years ago, with Liverpool winning both home and away games 1-0, a result which Klopp's side would be more than happy with tomorrow.
Klopp has won all four of his previous meetings with Ajax, including twice while in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
