Rodgers' side have made just one signing this summer
Stockport County v Leicester: What has been said?
Rodgers: "Come early September, whatever way it is… It's always a challenging time. I recognised that with the players the other day when I spoke to them. You can't ignore it.
"The transfer window is always a difficult period and in the main it's normally been very good for this club. This summer has been a challenge, there is absolutely no doubt about that. It creates doubt, raises questions around stability and also around the ambition of the team going forward.
"I can only control the mentality of the team and the players, the work and the environment and that's been my concentration. You see the players, they have given everything.
"These two home games they have been excellent for an hour and then we haven't been able to change it. We'll get through it. The sooner we get back to that powerful collective unit with that synergy between the supporters and the players, that's always the strength of any club."
