West Ham star Declan Rice's future continues to be a hot topic of conversation and the summer transfer window has not even opened yet.
Manager David Moyes is having to field questions on it seemingly every time he faces the media.
Rice is wanted by some of the biggest clubs in English football
Rice has reportedly rejected three contract offers from the Hammers, with his current deal set to expire in 2024. They also have the option of extending that by 12 months.
Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea have tracked Rice consistently, with the Premier League's top sides still eyeing a transfer.
When asked for his opinion on Rice rejecting West Ham's latest offer, Moyes replied: "We certainly didn't say that. Unless you've got who said it then I can't say it. We've not answered it really have we.
"I've said it and I think we have said what we think. We like Dec and he's got three and a half years to go on his contract so I don't think there is any big panic.
"We've got three and a half years so it isn't the biggest priority. We've got other priorities, trying to add to the squad and get other positions in.
"Maybe he just wants more money. People do turn down contracts. It is not unusual for players at clubs to turn down contracts, maybe it is a negotiation tactic."
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Rice, but their ownership uncertainty may put a stop to that
The topic of Rice's future was a big talking point on talkSPORT and former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy and ex-Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan weighing-in on their debate.
Murphy admitted he would be pushing for an exit were he in Rice's situation.
He told talkSPORT: "Are you going to deprive yourself of another season not being able to win the Premier League and the Champions League?
"West Ham fans will get frustrated with people saying it constantly because I've had it before.
"If I'm him, I'm going."
The figures reported suggest that Rice will cost upwards of £150million, which would smash the British transfer record, and Jordan admitted that West Ham will be able to dictate the fee.
Rice loves West Ham, but his career will likely be away from the London Stadium
"When it comes down to it and someone says 'I'll give you £100million, not on the drip and I'll do it now', people's attitudes change," Jordan said.
"This ownership model at West Ham might be changing anyway, so it might not be just David Sullivan and David Gold.
"It might be the Czech billionaire that's in there with his 20 per cent.
"They will sell Declan Rice, but only on West Ham United's terms. That means they'll have to pay what West Ham want them to pay.
"If West Ham want £150million, which is an offensive amount of money and if they rinse it out of Man City, then good luck to them."
