Alan Shearer was full of praise for Bruno Guimaraes after the midfielder starred in the Newcastle's 3-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday.
The 24-year-old produced a deft lob over former Magpies goalkeeper Tim Krul, his side's third of the match at Carrow Road to round off the victory.
Guimaraes netted in the 3-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday
Shearer tweeted: "Oh my word Brunnnoooo" accompanied with clapping emojis to praise the midfielders' finish.
The goal takes his tally to four for the season, more than he managed during his entire stay in Ligue 1.
Guimaraes previously scored against Southampton and netted a brace against Leicester City, prior to his finish against the Canaries.
As Krul was caught napping, the Brazil international stole the ball back from the edge of the area, before delightfully chipping the ball over the onrushing Dutchman.
Guimaraes has been a revelation since swapping Lyon for Newcastle in January for £40million.
Following the win in East Anglia, Guimaraes responded brilliantly to the Magpies legend Shearer. He replied: "I watched your DVD boss."
Shearer the said: "You're making it look easy man. Keep up the great work."
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were both interested in Guimaraes' services before he made the move to Tyneside.
The Magpies have moved up to ninth in the Premier League following their fourth straight victory, after Joelinton's brace and Guimaraes lob.
"They're a joy to work with. They do have that inner strength,' Howe said on the Brazilian pair post-match.
"They're both great people and they've become integral to the squad. They're settled in and are very popular.
"They do have a slight flamboyance with the way they play. I'm delighted with both of them. Long may that continue really."
