Minisforum has announced the DeskMini TH50 Mini PC, which will be powered by Intel's Tiger Lake-H CPUs. Minisforum has introduced some high-end Mini-PCs based on AMD's Ryzen 4000H and Ryzen 5000H/5000X CPUs, but they have not updated their Intel systems as regularly. That changes with the DeskMini TH50, as the business will include a high-end Tiger Lake-H CPU into the new Mini PC.

According to the specifications supplied by Minisforum, the Deskmini TH50 is the successor of the TL50, which used the Tiger Lake Core i5-1135G7 CPU. The TH50 is equipped with a high-end Core i5-11320H CPU, which has four cores and eight threads and is built on the 10nm SuperFin manufacturing node.

The clock speeds are significantly increased, with a base frequency of up to 3.2 GHz and a peak rate of up to 4.5 GHz. The CPU also comes with 8 MB of L3 cache and has a base TDP of 35W.

The Intel Core i5-11320H has an Iris Xe-LP GPU with 80 EUs or 640 ALUs for graphics. The GPU runs at a clock speed of 1.35 GHz. Surprisingly, while the Core i5-11320H is officially listed with 96 EUs, Minisforum only includes 80 EUs in their press release. Other features include up to 16 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Thunderbolt 4.0 compatibility.

When we look at the design of the Minisforum Deskmini TH50, we see a similar design to the HM90, which we just reviewed. It has a plastic and aluminium shell with a huge heatsink with active cooling inside.

On the front, there are two USB 3.2 ports, Thunderbolt 4, a microphone/headset jack, and power buttons, while the back has twin 2.5GbE LAN connections, HDMI, DP, two USB 3.2 ports, and two USB 2.0 ports. A standard 19V Type-C power adaptor port is provided. When it launches, expect the basic configuration to cost between $400 and USD 500.
