My name is Tabitha Bristow and I'm a 22 year old student at Leeds Beckett University studying MSc Strategic Sport Marketing. I live in Sheffield with my partner Charlie and, my pride and joy, my cat Tux. I gained a First in BA Fashion Business and Promotion at Birmingham City University, where I discovered my passion for marketing, in particular sportswear, hence my choosing to study this course.
My passion for sport comes from a childhood of sporting experiences. As a former competitive gymnast, with an equally active family in other sports, I have grown up engaging with sport on a regular basis. My favourite sport to watch is MotoGP (much better than F1!) and I've been fortunate to attend the Silverstone Grand Prix on numerous occasions. I've also been a regular skier since the age of 6, although I've found "Après Ski" is more my calling! Despite my Northern roots, I'm a Gunner at heart and I would love to work for the Arsenal, especially with their recent ventures to develop fashion-focused Arsenal merchandise.
"To make a substantial change in the marketing of sport towards an inclusive and diverse experience."
My biggest career goal inspired by my mentor, Maria-Luiza Popescu
My experience in Fashion Promotion has allowed me to develop extensive creative marketing skills which I hope to apply to sportswear and sports merchandise in order to elevate perceptions and forge connections with the next generation of sport consumer. In recent years, my consumption of sport has continued to grow and expand, which has allowed me to develop critical thinking skills of the current marketing surrounding sport and sportswear. It is a career goal of mine to make a substantial change in the marketing of sport towards an inclusive and diverse experience.
I look forward to sharing some (hopefully!) creative and insightful content and I hope you enjoy reading what I have to say! In the meantime, you can check out some of the work I've already done on my portfolio by clicking the icon below!
