The city of Evans will give residents an opportunity to safely dispose of old medications and shred sensitive documents Oct. 28, hosting a drug take back and free shredding day.
The biannual event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sam's Club parking area, 3247 23rd Avenue, according to a release from the Evans Police Department.
It is free and open to the public, but a few items will not be accepted:
- needles and sharps;
- mercury (thermometers);
- oxygen containers;
- chemotherapy/radioactive substances;
- pressurized canisters.
