Northern Colorado football player Vincent King and swimmer Kyra Rabess have been named the MyGreeley.com UNC student-athletes of the week for the week of Sept. 11.
King is a junior linebacker from Denver and Smoky Hill High School. He had a team-high 10 tackles including eight solo tackles and a sack in the Bears' 42-7 loss to University of Incarnate Word on Sept. 9.
Rabess is a freshman from George Town, Cayman Islands. She won the individual title Sept. 10 at the Horsetooth Open Water Swim at Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins. Rabess finished the 2.4-mile course in 40-minutes, 42 seconds, helping UNC to first place in the six-team competition. Rabess won the race by a margin of 35 seconds over the second-place female swimmer.
