Overview
Gungrave G.O.R.E is a stylish third-person action shooter by South-Korean Studio IGGYMOB in which you take on the role of Grave, a gunslinger of resurrection and badass anti-hero of your dreams, mowing down tons of enemies in a gory ballet of bullets.
G.O.R.E
As the titular Gunslinger of Resurrection, you become the badass anti-hero of your dreams, an ultimate killing machine, brutalising your foes without mercy. Taking cover and retreating is not an option for Grave, he only ever goes full steam ahead, preferably right through his enemies.

Stylish third-person shooting meets close-range martial arts, creating seamlessly flowing action as you crush your enemies in a gory ballet of bullets. Review
My favourite genre of gaming has always been shooters both first person shooters and third person shooters, basically anything with a gun and the bigger the explosions the better.
Gungrave G.O.R.E most definitely ticks all the boxes in terms of games that I would personally go for with it's cinematic look and action packed gameplay it really is a sight to behold. You play the role of Grave, a gunslinger of resurrection and badass anti-hero, mowing down tons of enemies in an onslaught of bullets, as an ex mafia hit man known as a one man army brought back to take the fight to the cartels and rid the world of new super drug The Seed.
Resurrecting the title from a 20+ year sleep when the original was release on PlayStation 2, the developers have brought back the badass hitman for a new next gen generation. If you love guns and all out non stop over the top action then you're definitely in for a treat.
Overall I found the story immersive and entertaining with plenty of non stop action mixed with a few comedic moments for good measure, the enemies are well balanced with harder enemies added to the mix the further into the game you go. The end of level bosses are challenging but not too much which gives a sense of satisfaction when you take them down.
Personally for me I like the automatic aiming system as I felt that made the combat more fast paced and added to the adrenaline rush that is the game play, but I do feel like this would be a bit of a marmite mechanic withing the community as some will like it and some will hate it with the more traditionalists liking the more manual approach, when in all fairness the game is an arcade title which normally means just all out fun rather than simulator style realism.
I pretty much enjoyed the whole game and will definitely be giving it another play through maybe on the harder difficulty but one thing I personally think would've elevated the game that is missing is co-op, imagine kicking bad guy ass with a friend would be next level insane, maybe that would be something in the future (fingers crossed)
With a roughly 12 hour (ish) playthrough it definitely has the content to keep the gamer occupied and if you like anime/action then you'll be right at home, to be fair if you want realism then you'll probably be best to stear clear but if you just want to "kick some ass" then grab your controller and settle in.
Graphics and Sound
The graphics of Gungrave G.O.R.E are phenomenal, they have gone with an almost anime look to it and really gone to town with the detail, I would've liked to have seen a bit more gore but there is some just feel like it could've added more to give it that extra look. The over the top action style really works and I enjoyed playing through the different stages that look great, the cutscenes help tell the story and also look great.
The soundtrack is equally over the top which adds to the dramatic intense feel to the game, in game the sound effects are good and all sound as they should giving it an authentic feel.
Both graphics and sound work well together to give the gamer an immersive experience.
Summary
Time then for me to put my thoughts into a summary, overall I loved the game it played well and looked great. I loved the arcade style gameplay which I would say is like a beer and pizza game - just switch off grab a beer and just chill out and kick ass!!

I give Gungrave G.O.R.E an ass kicking full marks 5 a game that I could happily play again and again, beer and pizza entertainment at it's finest.
