Cristiano Ronaldo hit back at Wayne Rooney after his former teammate warned him not to be an 'unwanted distraction' at Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar spoke out against United and manager Erik ten Hag in a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, where he also responded to recent criticism from Rooney when he spoke to talkSPORT last week.

Rooney joined the talkSPORT Breakfast on Friday and offered his verdict on his old friend, saying Ronaldo's behaviour this season has been 'unacceptable'.
He told him to 'keep his head down and be ready to play', saying 'if he does that, he will be an asset - if he doesn't, it will become an unwanted distraction'.
Ronaldo came out all guns blazing in his interview with friend and TalkTV host Morgan.
But, in doing so, he may have just proven Rooney right.
The forward responded to the ex-England captain's comments during the interview, which will be aired in full this week, and suggested Rooney might be jealous of his career… and his looks.
"I don't know why he criticises me so badly... probably because he finished his career and I'm still playing at a high level," Ronaldo told Morgan.
"I'm not going to say that I'm looking better than him. Which is true…"
