Brighton welcome Tottenham to the Amex Stadium on Saturday as Roberto De Zerbi takes charge of his first home game.
The Italian's opening game in the Premier League was impressive as the Seagulls drew 3-3 away at Liverpool last weekend.
De Zerbi was delighted with his team's performance last week
Now the next challenge for De Zerbi is to face Antonio Conte's Spurs, who won 2-0 on the south coast in this fixture last season.
The north London outfit were beaten by Arsenal in the derby last time out and after a goalless draw in midweek, they will be keen to get back to winning ways.
Conte has been a regular opponent for the former Sassuolo boss in the past after four clashes between the two in Serie A.
Out of those four games, the Tottenham manager came out on top in three whilst drawing the other, leaving De Zerbi winless.
Between 2019 and 2021, Conte's Inter beat Sassuolo 4-3, 3-0 and 2-1 with the draw being a high-scoring 3-3.
This means there have been 19 goals in four games between the two managers and therefore Saturday's fixture looks set to be an exciting one.
De Zerbi and Conte have faced each other four times in the Serie A
De Zerbi will be keen to put an end to his winless streak against Conte this weekend and the stats will be pleasing for him to see.
Brighton are unbeaten in seven at home this season which is form that has propelled them to fourth in the Premier League table.
As well as this, Spurs have failed to win back-to-back top-flight games away at the Seagulls for 40 years, with the last time they achieved it being in 1982.
Therefore De Zerbi will be hopeful of getting a result as the Italian bosses reignite their rivalry for a game that has the prospect of being a classic.
