Rio Ferdinand insists the Premier League's greatest midfielders were not at Jude Bellingham's level when they were 19.
The England sensation captained Borussia Dortmund to a 4-1 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Bellingham was the star of the show for Dortmund
Bellingham scored one and created another as he became the youngest Englishman to wear the armband in Europe's elite competition.
The teenage midfielder looks set to start for the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup this winter, having starred during the most recent international break.
And Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand insists Bellingham's performance levels at 19 are unprecedented.
Ferdinand namedrops United teammates Roy Keane and Paul Scholes, as well as Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard and Arsenal hero Patrick Vieira - and insists they were not this good at 19.
"What he's doing in his position at his age, we haven't seen," Ferdinand said.
"The best of our generation, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, them guys... Vieira, Keane, they weren't doing this.
Lampard and Gerrard were part of England's golden generation
"He still has to go on and prove it over a long period of time but they were not doing what he is doing right now.
"Influencing games at this level, captaining a team at this level, he is the full package.
"Mentally, this kid's a beast, no doubts about him."
