Thomas Tuchel has admitted he's 'devastated' by his dismissal as Chelsea head coach last week.
The German boss was sacked by the Premier League giants the day after their Champions League defeat against Dinamo Zagreb.
Tuchel's time at Chelsea came to an end last week when he was sacked by the Blues
It ended a 19-month stay at Stamford Bridge for the German boss
He was swiftly replaced by Brighton boss Graham Potter less than 36 hours later.
With Potter due to lead his first match in charge of the Blues against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday, Tuchel has broken his silence on his sacking and admits that the memories will 'stay with him forever'.
Despite spending a little over 18 months at Stamford Bridge, and exactly 100 games in charge, he won three trophies, including the Champions League.
In a statement released on social media Tuchel said: "This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years.
"I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.
"This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally.
"Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start.
Tuchel will be taking some time to rest before no doubt returning with one of Europe's top clubs
"The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever.
"I am honoured to have been a part of this club's history and whatever the future holds for me, the memories of the last 18 months will always have a special place in my heart."
