Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson believes teams have worked out how to play against the Reds following their stuttering start to the season.
The Reds were beaten for the first time in the league since December in Monday night's 2-1 loss at Old Trafford, leaving Jurgen Klopp's side 16th in the table with two points from their opening three games.
Alisson was unable to prevent Jadon Sancho opening the scoring for Manchester United
Goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford fired United into a two-goal lead before Mohamed Salah's 81st-minute header ensured a tense finish, but Erik ten Hag's side were able to hold firm.
Liverpool are already five points adrift of champions Manchester City and seven behind leaders Arsenal and a disappointed Alisson believes the key to turning around their fortunes is to keep working hard.
"Teams, when they play against us, they know the way we play and they try to exploit that and they try to use that against us," he told Liverpool's official website.
"It's something that most times works for us but sometimes we get punished for that and tonight it is what happened.
"Sometimes we have to be more perfect in a game. It's difficult to do that, but as a team being together we can do that and we can improve.
"We just have to keep working hard in our game in everything and defending with the ball."
Marcus Rashford coolly fired home United's second goal of the night to secure maximum points
Despite Liverpool enjoying the lion's share of possession at Old Trafford, they were unable to cope with United's blistering counter-attacking football.
The Reds were uncharacteristically shaky in defence which has been a common theme so far this season having already shipped five goals.
Sancho's opener led to a heated exchange between James Milner and Virgil van Dijk with the former Leeds player appearing to criticise the Dutchman's attempts to prevent Sancho scoring but Klopp played down any rumours of a rift between the pair.

Jürgen Klopp has played down any suggestion of a rift between Milner and van Dijk
"We don't have any kind of issues. I have not any kind of issues in the team like this," said Klopp. "That nobody is happy after you lose a game is completely normal, but this is not an explanation, not an excuse or whatever. It's all fine there, in this department."
