Dele Alli was pictured arriving in Turkey as he prepares to complete a move to Besiktas.
The midfielder will leave Everton on a season-long loan even though he only arrived at Goodison Park in January.
Alli was unveiled by Besiktas in the early hours of the morning
It was hoped he would revive his career after leaving Tottenham, but he has struggled to break into Frank Lampard's side.
He has made 13 appearances and scored no goals and now he will move to Turkey to get a fresh start.
Alli arrived in the country in the early hours of Thursday morning where he was presented to hundreds of Besiktas fans.
He still has to complete a medical, which is expected to take place on Thursday, before the move is official.
The 26-year-old was seen holding a club scarf and he was videoed leading fans in chants.
And it appears like they already love him in Turkey.
Hundreds of Besiktas fans turned out to greet Alli
It is not the first time an English player has received a hero's welcome when arriving in the country.
Back in 2009, Darius Vassell joined Ankaraspor and he was welcomed with flares, banners and passionate fans. They even sacrificed a goat in his honour.
Alli will be hoping he will be more successful than Vassell in Turkey, who only scored four times in his single season at the club.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp joined talkSPORT earlier this month and said that he was running out of chances to revive his career.
Alli's transfer to Everton has not been a successful one
He told talkSPORT: "It's up to Dele. He's got to prove to people now. In the end you run out of chances in football.
"You've got two guys there [at Everton] that know the game inside out, you can't keep looking at everyone else. It's not the ideal move.
"I'm a big fan of his, I liked him since he was a young player, he's got to reignite his career and get going again, it's as simple as that."
