Former super-middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch has taken another cheeky dig at UFC legend Conor McGregor on social media.
The British boxing icon used the phrase that started his beef with 'Notorious' who he doesn't believe is a powerful striker despite the fact he is one of the most prolific knockout artists in MMA.
Froch was not impressed by McGregor's boxing debut
"Couldn't punch the skin off a rice pudding," Froch tweeted in response to a video of McGregor hitting boxing pads beside his £2.9m Lamborghini Yacht.
Froch said something similar while speaking with JOE in July: "McGregor can't punch, he can't punch the skin off a rice pudding.
"I was there when he boxed Floyd Mayweather…
"Conor McGregor, obviously, a big name because he's got the mouth and he's got the charisma.
"I'm just sort of getting into MMA now."
The former dual-weight UFC champion initially didn't respond to Froch's comment but let rip at the retired boxer during the Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua rematch.
Froch angered McGregor with his comments in a recent interview
McGregor tweeted to his 9.4 million followers: "That Froch tick little scrawny pencil neck.
"I'll grab his head and twist it clean off at a 1er with my bare hands.
"Little wally of a thing I'll slap you around you little toffee nose toss pot."
At the time the tweet was sent, Froch was live in the Sky studio working as an analyst during the undercard before Usyk vs Joshua 2.
The two men argued online during the Usyk vs Joshua 2 broadcast
He replied just an hour later and said: "Who is this mouthy little p**** talking to?
"I will drag you outside with that wispy beard and show you how the big boys do it!!"
After Usyk retained his title with another dominant display against Joshua, McGregor congratulated the Ukrainian while also getting in one final dig at Froch.
"Usyk is some boxer, he added. "And Froch is some w***** hahaha."
It seems unlikely that McGregor will let this latest Froch jab slide and round two of their social media beef will get underway in the very near future.
