Juventus are set to sign Arek Milik from Marseille on a loan deal, with the option to buy. The Polish forward will be joining on a one-year loan, and Juventus will pay €1 million as the base fee and €1 million in add-ons for him.
The Bianconeri will also have an €8 million buy option, which they can activate in June 2023 if they are satisfied with his performances. Milik will be the replacement for Alvaro Morata, who returned to Atletico Madrid, and is set to stay with them this season.
Arek Milik to play for Juventus; Depay deal off
Juventus were in talks with Memphis Depay for a free transfer over the last few days. The player wanted to terminate his contract with Barcelona since clubs were not willing to pay €20 million to sign him.
However, an agreement with Juventus was needed for the termination to go through. But since the talks collapsed between Depay's agents and the club, the Dutchman is seemingly set to stay at Barcelona even though they want to offload him before the transfer window closes.
Arek Milik will be in Turin soon to complete his medical for the transfer, and upon completion of all formalities, he will be announced as a new player for the black and white side. He has previous experience in Serie A, having played for Napoli, and will be a very good back-up option for Dusan Vlahovic this season.
