talkSPORT host Mark Webster discusses the potential of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United...
How many Cristiano Ronaldo's does it take to change a lightbulb? Well, the answer is none according to his partner Georgina Rodriquez.
Ronaldo could be on his way out of Old Trafford
Ronaldo's other half is the latest cover star of Sportsweek and in the interview revealed that you're not likely to see him wobbling around on a kitchen chair with a 60 watt bayonet in his hand, anytime soon.
'If you were Cristiano Ronaldo, would you change a light bulb 20 feet off the ground?', she pondered. 'Better not'.
A more familiar image of the Portuguese genius is him with his shirt off. And he's been at it again this week, showing off his Superman physique while on holiday in Malta on his super yacht. Before reporting back for training on Monday.
Of course none of this should come as any surprise. Because as well we all know, even when there's no football, there is still Cristiano. He's box office. A man who is not only comfortably in the argument for the title of GOAT. But also a global icon who is, shall we say, not shy of the spotlight. Just don't ask him to change the bulb in it.
But this doesn't mean that all the headlines are glowing tributes to his undoubted football genius, or shiny six pack. Last season, for example, we saw plenty of speculation about his attitude. As the TV cameras captured eyes rolling back and arms teapotting at some of the exploits of his Manchester United team mates.
Ronaldo remains one of the world's best players
While in the last week he has been described as 'disgruntled' at the early days of Eric Ten Hag's regime. With it also being reported that new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has discussed making Ronaldo his first marquee signing, with the player's agent Jorge Mendes.
All of which makes me wonder quite what Cristiano's club is going to get from him next season? A man of remarkable talent, and extravagant temperament, who will be 38 in February.
Or to put it another way, how many ageing superstar prima donnas does it take to change a team for the better, or perhaps just as likely, worse? The answer: CR7?
