Indian forward Dangmei Grace will be joining Uzbekistani side FC Nasaf Qarshi on a six-month loan deal between June and December. The transfer has been half a year in the making, and has finally come to fruition.
Grace will be the third female Indian footballer to get a contract outside the country, after goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan, forward Bala Devi and her inspiration, Bembem Devi, who played in the Maldives for one season.

As part of her new team, she will be playing in the Uzbekistan Women's League, Knockout Cup and Super Cup. This will give her a lot of exposure to the level of the sport outside the country. Nasaf reached out to her through India's manager Hilda Gurung, who is now with the Under-17 team in Norway.
"I first heard from them when we were in Mumbai for the Asian championships. I wasn't sure so I told them I would need time to think," said the 26-year-old.
Eventually, she decided to make the move from Gokulam Kerala once their Indian Women's League campaign ended. Nasaf were prepared to wait, and have now completed the transfer for the forward.
Dangmei Grace has the ability to play in a variety of positions, consisting of attack as well as midfield. She becomes India's latest export to the international football scene, and can be an inspiration to those who dream of making it abroad.
