Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have both distanced themselves from a move for wantaway Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portugal forward, 37, returned to Red Devils training on Tuesday after missing the club's pre-season tour due to 'family reasons'.
At 37, Ronaldo is running out of time to add to his records
It is understood United remain reluctant to sell Ronaldo, having held talks with him and agent Jorge Mendes at Carrington.
And if the greatest goalscorer in history still wants to leave, he appears to be running out of options.
Bayern and Chelsea both ruled themselves out of the running in recent weeks - and Oliver Kahn has now explained the Bundesliga club's position.
The Bayern director told Bild: "We discussed about Cristiano Ronaldo internally – I consider him one of greatest footballers ever.
"Then we came to conclusion that, despite appreciation for Cristiano, he would not fit into our philosophy in the current situation."
Atletico faced protests from fans amid reports they could sign Ronaldo - who haunted the Spanish club during his time at Real Madrid and Juventus.

But now president Enrique Cerezo has also rubbished those rumours.
"I don't know who invented this story about Cristiano Ronaldo to Atletico Madrid - it's definitely not true," Cerezo told radio show El Partidazo de COPE.
"It's practically impossible for him to come to Atletico Madrid."
Ronaldo is thought to want Champions League football after United condemned themselves to a season in the Europa League with a dreadful 2021/22 campaign, as they finished sixth in the table.
Ronaldo's future is still up in the air with the season just two weeks away
And Arsenal legend Ray Parlour is baffled no big clubs want to take a chance on the 37-year-old.
"For one season? I think it's a no-brainer for a lot of clubs," Parlour told the Sports Breakfast.
"You know he's a great athlete, you know he looks after himself.
"Look at the buzz other players would get from playing with Ronaldo.
"I think if he's available, a lot of big clubs should try and take him for a season."
