On what should have been a night of celebration for Shakur Stevenson after beating Oscar Valdez, it quickly turned sour when a brawl broke out at the post-fight press conference.
The American left his world title belts on the floor to run towards the action, as punches were reportedly thrown between security and members of Stevenson's family.

Stevenson was excellent throughout winning comfortably on the judge's scorecards
Stevenson had just put in a career best performance to knock Valdez down on his way to an unanimous decision victory, which saw him crowned the WBC and WBO super featherweight world champion.
As if the night couldn't get any better for the 24-year-old, he then decided to propose to propose to his girlfriend in the ring after the fight and she said yes.
The night then went from jubilation to disaster for Stevenson and his family at the post-fight press conference.
Stevenson can be seen being questioned as to whether he should be on the pound-for-pound list and he replies, "I mean, what do you think."
The two-weight world champion then notices a melee going on in the crowd at the press conference and he reportedly thought his mother was in trouble and so cut the press conference short to run towards the action.
It is unclear exactly what happened, but Stevenson was filmed calling for his mother later on and there are conflicting reports that she was involved and he was running to her aid.
Security seemed to get a handle on the situation later on, but it was not the way Stevenson would have liked to end on such a momentous evening.
