James Ward-Prowse could be at the centre of a Manchester bidding war this summer as it was reported that both City and United want the Southampton star.
The 27-year-old has developed into one of the most consistent Premier League performers over recent years, racking up 302 top flight appearances and 39 goals.

It is perhaps unsurprising that Ward-Prowse has plenty of admirers from the top teams in the country, who could lure him away from the St Mary's this summer.
The Sun report that new Man United boss Erik ten Hag wants to sign the £75million-rated star to be the lynchpin of his midfield.
Ten Hag has a huge task on his hands to rebuild the squad at Old Trafford when he joins in the summer.
West Ham ace Declan Rice is among their top targets, but at £150million it may be more cost effective to target Ward-Prowse.
The midfielder currently has a contract until 2026 and earns around £100,000-a-week at Southampton.
But United could face competition from Man City, with Pep Guardiola also reportedly a huge admirer of Ward-Prowse.

The City boss is looking for someone to replace Fernandinho and has previously heaped praise on the England international.
His dead ball specialism is hugely enticing for clubs like City and United.
Of the 39 top flight goals he has scored, 14 of them have been directly from free-kicks.
That's the second most in Premier League history, behind only David Beckham on 18.
