WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has talked up a 'clash of the titans' fight with UFC heavyweight king Francis Ngannou.
The Gypsy King is looking for his next challenge now he has retired in the wake of his win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley.
Ngannou joined Fury in the ring and suggested a mega fight in Africa
Fury scored a sixth-round knockout win over Whyte in front of 94,000 fans and then said he would hang up his gloves for good.
Fury may be done with boxing, but it quickly became apparent that he wasn't done with fighting when he invited Ngannou to the ring during his post-fight speech.
The heavyweight duo talked up a crossover fight with hybrid rules and Fury has now confirmed that the bout will be an exhibition, one that he's confident of emerging victorious from.
"Yeah, I think it would be an exhibition fight," he told talkSPORT.
"Great, great clash of the titans and obviously I would win."
The shot was devastating
Fury knocked Whyte out in the sixth round after a comfortable fight
Fury is certain that the uppercut he stopped Whyte with on Saturday would take out any man, including Ngannou and his heavyweight rivals Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
"100 per cent, it would knock any man out," he said.
"I don't like comparing to former greats of the boxing game.
"It would knock anybody out, but that's not comparing me to anybody else in history, just people from my era."
Ngannou is the current UFC heavyweight champion
A fight between Fury and Ngannou can not take place until 2023.
The Cameroonian knockout artist appears to have fought for the last time in the UFC as his current deal came to an end in January when he picked up a decision win over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.
Due to a championship clause in his contract Ngannou is tied to the promotion for three more fights or one year – whatever comes first.
The 35-year-old is set to be out for the rest of his year, though, having had knee surgery, but it now appears to a matter of time before he leaves the UFC and fights Fury.
Ngannou has said his week that he would be interested in returning to UFC after fighting Fury should he need to leave to make that fight. Clashing with Jon Jones and completing a trilogy with Stipe Miocic both interest him.
However, he won't sign a new UFC deal unless the Fury fight is a part of it.
