Napoli have completed the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, making him the first signing for the summer transfer window. The president of the club, de Laurentiis, has announced the arrival of the winger for the coming season.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Serie A side, which will see him committed to Napoli until 2027. Last season, Tottenham were trying to sign the player but failed to do so, and Napoli have now signed him on a €1.1 million per season deal.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joins Napoli on five-year contract
The Georgia international came through the Dynamo Tbilisi academy, and secured a move to Rustavi thereafter. In 2019, he joined Russian club Rubin Kazan, and returned to his home country on loan to Dynamo Batumi this past summer.
The youngster has scored five goals and provided six assists in 25 games across all competitions this season. He has also earned 13 caps for the national team since making his debut in 2019, and has scored five goals for them.
The transfer fee that Napoli paid for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is yet unknown. However, his market value is at €16 million, and he has a contract with Rubin Kazan unik 2024. So, a fee close to his market value could be more likely.
The arrival of Kvaratskhelia means that Wolves can now go for Hirving Lozano from Napoli, as they could be without Adama Traore and Francisco Trincao next summer.
