Arsenal are reportedly ready to take a huge loss on club-record signing Nicolas Pepe by selling him for a cut-price fee this summer.
The Ivory Coast winger, 26, was signed from Lille for £72million in 2019 - but hasn't lived up to expectation at the Emirates Stadium.
Pepe has found himself surplus to requirements this season
According to the Daily Express, the Gunners are prepared to accept £25m from rival clubs to sell Pepe - which would represent a £42m loss on the player.
Pepe has just one goal in 17 Premier League appearances this season, having been reduced to a fringe player by manager Mikel Arteta.
It is understood Arsenal are offering the Ivorian to top-flight clubs and the Daily Mail reports that West Ham could be interested.
The Hammers have emerged as contenders for the European places in recent years and boss David Moyes is keen to add more quality to his squad in order to maintain their newly-found status.
Pepe has spent most of the season on the sidelines
Pepe arrived at Arsenal with a reputation for goals, netting 35 in two Ligue 1 seasons at Lille, but Gunners fans have only seen his potential in glimpses over a disappointing three-year spell.
"It is frustrating not to play," Pepe said in March.
"No player enjoys not playing but I have to respect the coach's decision.
"When a team is winning it is hard for a coach to make changes. Mikel has explained that and I know I have to work hard in training to get more playing time.
"The coach knows what I think and how hard I am working."
