Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity relies on community partners to support local families, and a local dealership has recently stepped up to the cause, the nonprofit said in a news release.
Mike Shaw Subaru, 4720 24th St., benefited Greeley-Weld Habitat for the third year in the row as part of the dealership's Share the Love Campaign. The dealership raised $22,170 in donations by selling new cars, an increase from the year earlier.
Subaru's Share the Love campaign began in 2008 to support national organizations but has expanded to allow dealerships to support local nonprofits. Participating dealerships donate a designated amount per vehicle sold during the end-of-year campaign.
"We are so eternally grateful for everything our local Subaru dealership has done for our Habitat families, from donating to our ReStore, donating vehicles and being a financial sponsor," the Habitat release said. "They have been such a staunch supporter of our mission to end poverty housing. Their care and love for their community shows in all the activism they do; from helping other non-profits in the area, such as the Weld Food Bank, the Success Foundation, Greeley Family house, to the small food pantry it operates in its own service entrance."
