The MLBB Women's Invitational, currently underway, became the first ever all-female tournament in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world. Organized by ONE Esports and Moonton, both responsible for the thrilling ONE Esports' MPL Invitational 2021 in November, the MLBB Women's Invitational was arranged to provide a suitable platform for women gamers.

"We are delighted to kick off 2022 with an important event such as MWI, and we couldn't be more excited to partner with ONE Esports to bring this tournament to life," said Lucas Mao, Managing Director of Global Esports at Moonton.

The tournament runs from January 27th to the 30th, and features a prize pool of $15,000. ONE Esports said this tournament was a necessary one for them to host, as its research showed that 49% of the gaming and esports market in Southeast Asia is female.

There are currently ten teams participating, divided into two groups of five, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The countries represented in the tournament are: The Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
