The University of Northern Colorado volleyball team won its fourth Big Sky Conference regular-season title Saturday with a 3-1 victory over the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.

Senior Kailey Jo Ince had 17 kills and 10 digs to lead the Bears to the victory, 25-21, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-16 in the final match of the regular season.

Next for UNC, is a first-round BSC Tournament match against Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. Thursday in Ogden, Utah. Weber State (13-3 BSC, 18-8 overall) earned the No. 1 seed on a tiebreaker and the right to host the tournament.

UNC (13-3, 21-6) is the second seed. The Bears joined the conference in 2006. UNC swept Eastern Washington, 3-0, in both matches during the regular season.

Rachel Hickman and Cece Huhn both had 12 kills UNC. Huhn had five blocks, Hickman had four and Makenzie Harris added seven kills and two blocks.

Defense was key for UNC too. The Bears held an opponent to under 24% hitting for the 16th time this season.  Laura Katarzynski had a match-high 29 digs for the Bears, who defeated the Vandals for the second time this season. UNC won the teams' first match, also 3-1, on Oct. 12 in Greeley.
