How awesome is it to see Asian Australian singer/song artist Dami Im on "Celebrity MasterChef" - what makes it more awesome is that she got to cook in front and get judged by Melissa Leong - another awesome Asian Australian.

Recently, we wrote about Im, when she featured on "The Wiggles - Fruit Salad" YouTube channel to showcase Korean culture, donning a Hambok (traditional Korean dress). And now she is on "Celebrity MasterChef" cooking the cuisine which makes up who she is and that is Korean food. She made Dolsot bibimbap & Dwenjang soup ( which are both delicious dishes) and told Refinery 29 that cooking this in front of Leong meant a lot to her and she felt a strong connection with Leong.

"That was my strategy from day one because I grew up eating Korean food,"

"I also thought, 'You know what, I probably know Korean food better than anybody else on the show and any of the judges, because it's my culture and I did it since I was born."

"It was good and scary because I'd make these Korean dishes and I think the judges might not know what this is, and then she would know,"

In addition with Im, comedian and actor Dilruk Jayasinha is also a contestant - so this season of "Celebrity MasterChef" will be the one to watch!
