It doesn't use water, always looks nice (no need to mow), doesn't use chemicals for fertilizing, doesn't need to use weed killer and looks so much better than a yard with weeds three feet high. The yards with the weed send the seeds to everyone else in the neighborhood. The city wants us to use less (or no) water and I would think that they would like front yards to look better. Better looking yard makes the city look better to visitors. I will not get a vote but, the city will save on water and maybe they should use the money they save to help everyone put turf in their yard.
