Libraries across Denbighshire have plenty to offer over the half term period, with a number of free activities planned throughout the week.
Rhyl Library is hosting a special story time with a mermaid from Tyler Tails Cosplay on Tuesday 30th May at 1pm. Families can hear a story about the sea and find out how they can help the mermaid look after the local environment. There is no need to book and the event is open to all families.
Denbigh Library are hosting a board game and jigsaw morning on Wednesday 31st May from 10:30am up until Midday for puzzle fans.
Llangollen Library are currently constructing a large underwater mural and are encouraging families to drop in and get colouring to help out. This is available anytime during library opening hours.
Prestatyn Library will also be holding their regular weekly card collectors and sticker swap club on Saturday morning, so avid fans of card collecting can come along and swap Pokemon cards or football stickers.
Many of the libraries around the county also have Lego sets ready for children to come along and play with.
Councillor Emrys Wynne, Lead Member for Welsh Language, Culture & Heritage said:
"Your local library is a brilliant place to visit this half term. As well as the wide selection of books, there are free events happening throughout the week so that families can come along and enjoy themselves.
Our libraries also offer a full range of digital services including access to eBooks, audiobooks, eMagazines and newspapers online. I would urge people who have an interest to go and discover what their library has in store for them during this upcoming half term break".
For more information contact your local library or follow them on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
