Back-to-back for the great Ivy Tolbert, who along with winning Region Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State, and named to the Super XI and National Top 50 Watch List as an All-American, she'll add even more hardware in the form of BLITZ Player of the Year.

Ivy Tolbert has had a big year to say the least. The junior midfielder posted 87 goals and 50 assists, eclipsed 200 career goals, and led her team to the State Semifinals. Tolbert also committed to go to Cornell (Ivy goes Ivy League), was the Region 8-A DI Player of the Year, Super XI selection, 1st Team All-State honoree, and National Watch List Top-50 player, as well as being an All-American. She's as legit a player as you'll ever see.

Voting included our 16-person panel made up of sports reporters, writers, video producers, former coaches, players, GHSA officials, and sports experts. The voting is Heisman-style, with the following points system:
1st place votes: 5 pts; 2nd: 3 pts; 3rd: 2 pts; 4th: 1 pts; 5th-6th: 0.5 pts; 7th-8th 0.25 pts
Tolbert was a near unanimous selection, taking 14 out of 16 1st-place votes. Hazen Ramey (White) and Addie Higbie (Tallulah) collected one of those apiece.
