It is finally down to two teams left as the playoffs have reached the Stanley Cup Final. It will be the Vegas Golden Knights taking on the Florida Panthers. Both teams second trip to the final. First for Vegas since 2018 and first for Florida since 1996. And for the first time since 2018, there will be a first-time winner of the Stanley Cup. The 2023 Stanley Cup Final gets underway Saturday, June 3rd at 8 pm in Las Vegas.
As with the previous three rounds of the playoffs, gambling sites alike will have people wagering on all the hockey from now until the Stanley Cup is awarded. Sites like Sports Interaction immediately put up odds for teams to win the Stanley Cup, among other different odds. The action gets underway Saturday as fans can place bets during live games.
Again only two teams remain with favourites like the Bruins, Oilers, Avalanche, Maple Leafs, Lightning, Hurricanes and Rangers falling along the way. Vegas remains the favourite to win the Stanley Cup, but there is good value in Florida.
Time to Dive into the Stanley Cup Final.
2023 Stanley Cup Final Betting Odds
Vegas Golden Knights (-137) vs Florida Panthers (+100)
The Florida Panthers are the overwhelming underdog entering the Stanley Cup Final. But that is just how the Panthers like it. As Matthew Tkachuk stated numerous times, nobody expected us to be here. They have embraced the underdog role. Florida is out to prove people wrong continuously. The question for Florida will be will the time off hurt them?
Look having 10+ days off hurts a team entering the final. Just ask the 2003 Anaheim Ducks and 2007 Ottawa Senators. The momentum the Panthers had might be stopped and it will take some time to get it back. While Vegas is coming off a Game 6 and some adversity almost blowing a 3-0 series lead to the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.
Florida is a good value play and some will pick the Panthers to win the series. Again Vegas has no problem with that at all. How many people picked them against Edmonton or Dallas? Even some picked Winnipeg to beat them in the first round. The most disrespected one-seed in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. And they have shown they are the best and most complete team left in the playoffs.

The road teams continue their domination. Both teams play on the road and at home. But something will have to give between an aggressive forecheck and the neutral zone trap. Two of the teams playing their best and healthy.
Vegas gets the edge with their depth and defence while Florida has the edge between the pipes. But Florida has shown they can play with the top teams as they were a former President's Trophy winner from a year ago. The Panthers have knocked out the top seed in Boston, the top seed in the Metro in Carolina, and the second seed in the Atlantic in Toronto. They look to do it to Vegas.
This will be a fun matchup. Check out Full Press Hockey for the full preview.
As the oddsmakers have stated everything points to the Vegas Golden Knights winning the Stanley Cup, but as we have seen in the playoffs anything can happen.
