The Weld County District Attorney is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the community relations director position at the Weld County District Attorney's Office.
Krista Henery's last day as the community relations director is May 10 after holding the role for nearly 6 years. Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke is looking to fill the upcoming vacancy.
Duties for a community relations director include serving as a spokesperson to the public and media regarding high-profile cases on a local, national and international level, according to a district attorney's office news release. The role also involves maintaining social media pages and the office's website — the image of the district attorney's office.
As a community relations director, that person is required to recognize "newsworthy" material to share with the community. A qualified candidate should also have the ability to produce their own projects and ideas on behalf of the office, the release said.
Another component of the job includes seeking out opportunities for office employees to have involvement in, which includes serving the local community by organizing community service projects throughout the year.
