GOAL High School's 2023 graduation ceremony for the Northeast Region including: Fort Collins, Windsor, Fort Morgan, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Sterling will be held at the University of Northern Colorado - Bank of Colorado Arena (270 Alles Drive), in Greeley. The ceremony, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, is one of 13, with over 1,100 graduates statewide having earned their high school diplomas. In over fifteen years of experience, GOAL's model of online curriculum while providing face-to-face support at student drop-in centers has created unprecedented success in Colorado, having graduated nearly 10,000 students!
GOAL graduations feature student speakers, many of whom have overcome tremendous adversity along the way. A high percentage of graduates will receive workforce and industry certificates, college credits, and some will have already graduated from college, having earned their associate's degree through GOAL's partnerships with local colleges.
From the stage, GOAL graduates speak frequently about their ability to find success at the school thanks to the hybrid model and the positive, caring and supportive staff. One such student, Santiago Delgado Peden, from Lakewood, claimed that, "It was the first time I ever felt like I mattered." Esperanza Nunez, from Colorado Springs, chimed in that "GOAL staff believe in you and will never give up on you, even if you try to give up on yourself."
Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Constance Jones, reflected her thoughts in her personal letter to the graduates. "While these ceremonies last for an hour, the accomplishment of graduating from high school is going to last for a lifetime. We want to express how proud we are of every one of you!"
