Back-to-back for Jack! Jack Rowe once again led the Raiders in 2023, and played among the most talented golfers in the state in Class 6A and earned BLITZ Golfer of the Year in the process.

At this point, Jack Rowe has established himself as the best golfer in our corner of the state. He was an 8-time low medalist this season, even finishing as Runner-Up at the Apple Mountain Inv, a prestigious event. His 9-hole average (35.9) and 18-hole average (71.8) are nearly 1 and 5 strokes better, respectively, than the next-best in our BLITZ coverage area. He was the Area Runner-Up with a 68, representing Habersham Central individually at state. There, he carded a 75 and 76 to finish 15th overall.

Voting included our 16-person panel made up of sports reporters, writers, video producers, former coaches, players, GHSA officials, and sports experts. The voting is Heisman-style, with the following points system:
1st place votes: 5 pts; 2nd: 3 pts; 3rd: 2 pts; 4th: 1 pts; 5th-6th: 0.5 pts; 7th-8th 0.25 pts
Jack Rowe took 11 of 16 1st-place tallies, though Walker Millholland (Dawson), Jake Dalton (Banks), and Nate Crabbe (Banks) also had 1st-place votes.

Jack Rowe becomes the first back-to-back winner since Garrett Rowland for White County in 2014-15. He's the third golfer to go back-to-back overall, and he's the 4th Habersham winner (twice Rowe, once Smith Caudell in 2020, once Lee McCoy in 2012). Rowe now has a chance to do what's never been done, secure 3 straight BLITZ Golfer of the Year awards for the boys.
