Scott Parker admitted he is not sure he will still be Club Brugge manager for their next game after his stint in charge in Belgium hit a new low.
The side suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to a team currently in the Belgium Pro League's relegation zone and had the boss questioning his own future.
The ex-Fulham and Bournemouth boss took over the reigning Belgian league champions as they sat fourth in the table and 12 points off top spot.
But Parker's first foray away from English football in his entire career has not gone to plan, having won just two of his 11 games in charge so far - drawing six and losing three - with Brugge slipping even further behind as they now sit a huge 20 points adrift of league leaders Genk.
His lowest point in the dugout came on Friday night, as Club Brugge were beaten 3-0 by relegation-threatened Oostende.
And the 42-year-old admitted after the match that he might not be in charge by the time their next game comes around - in the Champions League last-16 against Benfica on Tuesday.
"I'm not sure about that, it's a question I can't answer," said a defeated Parker.
The Englishman's side showed some promise in their last outing, a 2-0 win over Gent, and the boss admitted he couldn't explain how his team was so bad this time out.
"I have no explanation for that huge difference," Parker said.
"We have to question ourselves deeply how we can perform like this after the match in Gent.
"I certainly have solutions," he added.
"This is a challenge and a fight for me, like I've had many in my life and in football. I want to stand back.
"As a team, we now have to stick together and work hard to turn this situation around. Coming into this situation will define who we are as a team and individuals.
"We are not where we belong, I won't deny that. The results are not there.
"I certainly did not see this 3-0 defeat coming and cannot be justified. It went wrong everywhere."
