An incredible stat comparing Erik ten Hag's Manchester United team to Sir Alex Ferguson's title-winners has come to light.
Ten Hag has been a revelation at Old Trafford in his debut campaign after arriving from Ajax in the summer.
So well, in fact, that Man United have won 30 games across all competitions after 41 matches following their 3-1 victory over West Ham on Wednesday night.
Only in 2006/07 and 2012/13 have they reached this total quicker - with both seasons achieving the milestone by match 40 in the campaign.
In both years, United won the Premier League under Ferguson's stewardship, indicating that the Red Devils are very much in the fight for the title this season - though it will be no easy feat after Arsenal's win over Everton took them 11 points clear of them.
However, whether they end up lifting the title or not, the progress has been incredible to watch in Ten Hag's first season in charge of United - that started with two damaging defeats to Brighton and Brentford.
But since then, the Old Trafford outfit have not looked back and have gone on an incredible run and have lost four times since - and just once since the start of 2023.
That has also seen them win the Carabao Cup after a 2-0 win over Newcastle - the first available trophy that Ten Hag could have won - and there are plans for further success.
The Dutchman sent lavishly on the likes of Casemiro, Antony and Lisandro Martinez, who have all fitted in seamlessly.
While the ex-Ajax boss has also got the best out of underperforming players such as Marcus Rashford and Fred while the attitude around the camp is positive, particularly after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
And Ten Hag has been keen to underline the importance of Old Trafford, where they have lost just once - the defeat to Brighton on the opening day of the season.
He said about the Theatre of Dreams after the win against West Ham on Wednesday: "The togetherness, I think we build it together with the fans.
"But it start, and I think I said it before, it starts with us, it starts with the team to show energy, to dominate the opponents.
"But then, yeah, this stadium, this fans, the ambience they bring, yeah, that goes back to the players
"They are already energised then they get more energised to run faster, to go quicker, to keep going, to do the recovery runs to make the movement without ball in possession.
"So that absolutely has an impact."
