Harry Redknapp insists Tottenham striker Harry Kane is likely to be having doubts around his future at the club.
Another trophy eluded the England captain on Wednesday evening when Spurs were dumped out of the FA Cup by Championship side Sheffield United.
Unless Antonio Conte's side pull off an unlikely Champions League win in June, Spurs will again end the season trophyless.
Kane is yet to win any silverware in his playing career and Redknapp felt the 29-year-old looked low as he trudged off the pitch at Bramall Lane.
"I looked at his face last night as he walked off the pitch and he looked very low," Redknapp exclusively told talkSPORT.
"He must have thought, my god, what's going on here? He's on the bench, he don't start the game. You're taking a gamble.
"They should have gone for it last night and Harry should be starting the game surely?
"I fancied Spurs to win the cup this year. I looked at it and thought this could be their year.
"With what's left in [teams still in the FA Cup], [it was a] great chance. You look at the draw last night. I thought Tottenham would go all the way but it was a poor result.
"But he looked low last night and maybe he's thinking to himself it looks like I'm never gonna win a trophy here.
Wednesday's defeat was another blow to Spurs' chances of convincing Kane to sign a new deal at the club.
Negotiations between the club and Kane are still at a standstill despite the striker nearing the final 12 months of his existing deal.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are believed to be monitoring his situation but Redknapp doesn't see Kane leaving north London anytime soon.
"I don't see him moving, I think his life is good there and I think he'll stay but he must be having doubts about it when they keep getting knocked out of competitions like they did yesterday."
