The north Londoners sit pretty at the top of the table and look set to return to Europe's premier competition for the first time since the 2016/17 season.
And Arteta knows he must bolster his squad if they wish to be competing on both fronts next season.
According to The Times, Arsenal are already identifying possible targets with their potential Champions League qualification income.
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is claimed to be an £80million option, with the club confident of beating Chelsea to the England international's signature.
It has been said that Arsenal could also reignite their interest in Brighton's Moises Caicedo with Arteta desperate to bring in two central midfielders.

The Seagulls rejected two bids of £65m and £70m from the table-toppers in the winter transfer window.
A new winger has also been eyed up by Arteta, along with a possible left-back to replace Kieran Tierney.
Tierney has been limited to just four Premier League starts this season after falling behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in the pecking order.

The Times have stated that Arsenal would be looking to recoup the £25m they paid for him in 2019, with Newcastle believed to be keen on a £30m deal.
Striker Folarin Balogun, who is on loan at Reims where he is Ligue 1's second highest top scorer, could also be on the move with the player unlikely to want to play behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
Versatile full-back Nuno Tavares could also be sold having impressed during his loan at Marseille.
Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is another that will reportedly be allowed to make way after he was shipped off to Crystal Palace on loan in January.
Academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe meanwhile faces an uncertain future with the attacking midfielder plagued by injuries this term which has limited him to just 47 minutes of top-flight action.
And Granit Xhaka could be a surprise departure despite a fantastic season with it claimed Arsenal are debating whether to extend his contract beyond 2024 or to cash in on him.
