Mikel Arteta insists his centre-backs Gabriel and William Saliba are in 'a happy marriage' despite their passionate exchange at Leicester City.
The defensive partners came together after the final whistle in what some fans interpreted as a heated discussion, despite the Gunners picking up a 1-0 win to maintain their title charge.
Gabriel and Saliba appeared to be having a row about something after the final whistle
Gabriel and Saliba were clearly not happy despite their clean sheet and were spotted in an animated conversation at full-time, with both players gesticulating wildly and Saliba pushing Gabriel in the chest.
However, it is unclear whether the situation was as serious as it first appeared.
Now, in response, Arteta has made light of the situation between his two defenders, cracking a joke in his press conference before the Gunners' game against Everton on Wednesday - which is live on talkSPORT.
When asked about the supposed confrontation, the Spaniard said: "They are a happy marriage they love playing with each other.
"But they are really demanding with each other which is good!
"Everything is fine."
Arsenal are looking to widen the gap on Man City this week
The Gunners currently sit two points ahead of title rivals and second place side Manchester City in the Premier League.
Arteta and his side will be looking to boost their advantage with their game in hand against the Toffees, with Man City not returning to Premier League action until Saturday for the match against Newcastle.
