We are only at the fifth-round stage of the FA Cup but several big-hitters have already been knocked out of the competition.
Chelsea and Arsenal were both eliminated by Manchester City, while Liverpool's participation was ended by Brighton & Hove Albion last month.
Meanwhile EFL Cup runners-up Newcastle United suffered a shock 2-1 defeat by Sheffield Wednesday in the third round.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are still involved, but Manchester City are the bookies' favourites to lift the trophy this season.
Given they have enjoyed huge success in the Premier League and EFL Cup under Pep Guardiola, City's record in this tournament is a little disappointing.
They triumphed in 2019 thanks to a 6-0 demolition of Watford in the final, but that is the only time they have tasted success in the FA Cup in the last decade.
Guardiola will be keen to add a second winner's medal to his collection this year, and his team are unlikely to have too much trouble at Ashton Gate.
Bristol City are on a 12-match unbeaten run in all competitions, but they will still struggle to halt the Manchester City juggernaut.
Guardiola's side thrashed Bournemouth 4-1 at the weekend and they could similarly make light work of their opponents on Tuesday night.

Bristol City vs Manchester City betting tips
A lively atmosphere at Ashton Gate is guaranteed, but Manchester City should have too much quality for their Championship opponents
Man City win and over 3.5 goals - 11/10 (Spreadex)
Manchester City have not quite been at their imperious best this season.
The fact they are not currently top of the Premier League is proof enough of that. Despite that comfortable victory over Bournemouth last time out, City still trail Arsenal by two points.
They could fall five points adrift of the summit of the standings this week, with the Gunners set to take on Everton in a rearranged top-flight fixture on Wednesday.
City have already been on the end of one 'cupset' in 2022/23, going down 2-0 to Southampton in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup in January.
But in the last few weeks City have shown signs that they might be getting back to their best as the business end of the campaign approaches.
They will arrive in the southwest on the back of a five-match unbeaten run which includes an impressive 3-1 defeat of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Guardiola's side have not been perfect throughout that stretch. But even in 1-1 draws with Nottingham Forest and RB Leipzig, City played well.
They created more than enough chances to have beaten Forest in the Premier League, while they demonstrated why they are widely fancied to win the Champions League with a dominant first-half display in Leipzig.
City then turned on the style against Bournemouth and their attacking firepower could well overwhelm Bristol City too.
First goal 21-30 minutes - 9/2 (Spreadex)
One thing that makes this match difficult to predict is the possibility that Guardiola heavily rotates his team.
The games are coming thick and fast for Manchester City at the moment. This is a club which is now accustomed to fighting on multiple fronts, but Guardiola will still need to carefully manage his squad in the weeks and months to come.
It would, quite frankly, be a surprise if the City boss did not shuffle his pack for the trip to Ashton Gate.
Newcastle are next up in the Premier League. That will be a tough assignment for the champions, and a Saturday lunchtime kick-off means it will be uppermost in Guardiola's thoughts when he picks his side for this FA Cup tie.
Still, City have an abundance of quality with their ranks. They could make several changes without substantially weakening the team.
Indeed, Riyad Mahrez and Kyle Walker were among the stars who began the Bournemouth game on the bench. Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva did not even get on at the Vitality Stadium.
A rotated Manchester City XI should still prove too strong for Bristol City, but it could take a few minutes for the visitors to find their rhythm.
Both teams to score - Evens (Spreadex)
Bristol City will know that advancing to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup - a stage of the competition they have not reached since 1974 - will be a tall order.
But they are at least in good form as they prepare to welcome Manchester City to Ashton Gate for the first time in five years.
Their last meeting in Bristol was a five-goal thriller in which the Premier League side edged out their Championship opponents 3-2 in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.
The Robins have pulled clear of the Championship relegation zone since the turn of the year, although talk of a possible push for the play-offs remains ambitious.
Bristol City have scored in all 11 games they have contested in 2023, and that will give them hope of finding the net on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Manchester City have gone six matches without a clean sheet in all competitions. Perhaps they will not have everything their own way in this one.
