Witherspoon admitted her family would be happy if she invested in Arsenal
Last year, Witherspoon became an investor in MLS team Nashville SC.
She was asked about whether she would follow Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney into owning a British team.
The pair have become the surprising yet much-loved owners of National League side Wrexham and have gone all-in on trying to lift them back into the Football League.
Former Tottenham star, and One Show host, Jermaine Jenas said: "We're going to be talking football later in the show and I know you [Witherspoon and Your Place or Mine co-star Ashton Kutcher] are both big fans.
"Reese, you own a football club in America, or have some investment in a club in America.
"Would you ever consider investing in a club in the UK? Like Ryan Reynolds has with Wrexham."
Reynolds and McElhenney have become very popular at Wrexham
Witherspoon said: "If there's space in Arsenal, all my sons and everybody would be really excited. That's our favourite team.
"We watched the game the other day. It was bananas! That's our team."
Jenas added: "You've literally picked my rivals."
Witherspoon replied: "I'm probably going to really wreck myself here too because there are people out there who are not Arsenal fans.
"I also like PSG."
Kutcher revealed he could have invested in a Premier League team
Jenas said: "Go with them instead of Arsenal please Reese, that would be much more friendly."
Kutcher also revealed he very nearly invested in a Premier League team very recently.
The star said: "I'm a big United States soccer fan… but I do watch Premier League and I actually came very close to investing in a Premier League team in the last month."
Had he invested in a club, he would have followed Michael B. Jordan in doing so. The Creed star recently became a shareholder in Bournemouth.
