Nottingham Forest have condemned 'concerning chants' aimed at Chelsea supporters during the 1-1 Premier League draw.
It's alleged that the chants were of a homophobic nature by journalists present at the game.
A minute's applause took place for football legend Pele pre match
But later Forest had to comment on supporters
A Forest statement shortly after full-time at the City Ground expressed their concern and said an investigation will take place.
The statement read: "The Club are aware of reports concerning chants aimed at Chelsea supporters from a minority of fans this evening and do not condone any type of discriminatory or offensive behaviour.
"The matter will be fully investigated."
Simon Johnson of The Athletic was present at the game and Tweeted: "Homophobic chant from Forest fans."
A seemingly similar incident occurred earlier in the season during a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Blues boss Graham Potter was forced to comment and said: "Clearly we've still got a lot of work to do," while United boss Erik ten Hag also condemned the chants.
Forest will investigate the chants
Following the draw against Forest, Chelsea Pride also posted a statement saying 'it's time to call this out'.
"We totally condemn the Chelsea Rent Boy chant that can be heard at the City Ground," they wrote to their 14,000 followers.
"Time to call this out, the game is live on @SkySportsPL. This is now classed as a hate crime.
"#NoToHate #RetireTheChant"
Forest took a point from the league clash thanks to a Serge Aurier strike after Raheem Sterling had put the visiting Blues ahead.
