Jurgen Klopp's men have won their last four league games and are closing in on the top four, and they can cut the gap to Manchester United to just one point with a win.
Liverpool weren't at their best against Leicester but got the job done
The Reds are finding a way to win at the moment but know Brentford will pose a hugely tough task with the Bees unbeaten in their last five.
Thomas Frank's side have won against Manchester City and West Ham away and drawn with Tottenham in their last three games, and can climb up to seventh with a win.

Brentford v Liverpool: Team news
Despite being stretchered from the field against West Ham, Ivan Toney is in contention to play against Liverpool after his knee injury was deemed to be minor.
But Kristoffer Ajer, Aaron Hickey and Shandon Baptiste are all out.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp could hand a debut to new signing Cody Gakpo after he joined from PSV Eindhoven for an initial £37m.
However, there are doubts over whether the paperwork on his transfer was completed in time and he is more likely to be involved in the FA Cup at the weekend.
Arthur Melo, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz remain on the sidelines but Curtis Jones, James Milner and Roberto Firmino could return.
Fabinho should also be back after his partner gave birth and he missed the Leicester game, while Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott are nursing knocks.
Gakpo is eligible to make his debut
Brentford v Liverpool: What has been said?
"We have massive belief in ourselves," said Brentford boss Thomas Frank ahead of this clash.
"We have a fantastic group of players. We speak about our attitude all the time - we are confident but humble.
"We're very confident that we can get a very good result against any team, but also humble to know that we have to put so much hard work in.
"Liverpool is a fantastic team, with a fantastic manager. It doesn't really matter when you face Liverpool, they are always good.
"Under the floodlights at the Gtech, we'll come flying out and do everything we can to get the three points.
"We want to make it a fortress. We want to be really difficult to play against, also away from home, but especially at home. We need to be brave and aggressive and we need to attack."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on transfers: "I don't want to disappoint anybody, but we signed an outstanding player like Gakpo and the next thing you read is 'who next?'.
"It's as if we wouldn't have a team, honestly. We cannot play like Monopoly. It's like this and we never did, so I don't understand that.
"Of course we cannot just spend – and never could. Surprisingly, we always sorted our situations.
"It's a big part of my philosophy, really working full of faith and trust with the players you have, and not constantly questioning them by telling them that we need another player for that or that position."
