Several Southwest Airlines flights in and out of Denver International Airport have been canceled or delayed Friday despite the airline stating they have returned to normal operations.
But there are significantly fewer delays and cancellations than in previous days, and several other airlines have canceled or delayed small numbers of flights Friday. In total, as of 11:05 a.m., 14 flights in or out of Denver were canceled — most of those incoming — and 113 had been delayed, according to FlightAware.
Six Southwest flights were canceled Friday and 33 flights have been delayed.
On its website Friday, Southwest stated it was operating its normal schedule and anticipated "minimal disruptions" for the weekend. No Southwest flights have been canceled for Saturday or Sunday, as of Friday morning.
Customers affected by the operational meltdown can find additional assistance on Southwest's website, and those specifically needing assistance reuniting with baggage can find information at southwest.com/baginfo.
At other airlines, United canceled five flights in or out of Denver Friday; two Alaska Airlines flights were canceled; and one SkyWest-operated regional flight was canceled.
