The biggest draw to Southlake has to be the lake itself. Lake Grapevine is a massive artificial reservoir built to prevent local creeks from spilling over. It is perfect for fishing, boating, or watersports.
University Park
University Park is a suburban town dominated by the grand buildings of the Southern Methodist University. The area has genuine small-town charm, but is only 20 minutes away from downtown Dallas. There is a true feeling of community in Snyder Square, the central plaza that serves as the town's hub. You'll need to be relatively well off to afford a property in this neighborhood. Coppell
Coppell was a small farming village until the opening of the Dallas-Fort Worth airport in the 1950s. Today, the town is a relatively affluent area that stretches all the way out to the border with Denton County. It is the tenth most affluent city in Texas.
Frisco
Frisco is a large suburb with its own proud history. It contains the National Videogame Museum and a very good heritage center with many fascinating items of interest to railway buffs. Frisco might be a suburb, but it very much feels like its own town.
Flower Mound
Flower Mound is charmingly named after a prominent little hill that resides at the center of the town. Like Southlake, Flower Mound has great access to Lake Grapevine, making it the perfect suburb for people that want to spend time on the water.
