Ally McCoist has told England boss Gareth Southgate it would be 'difficult' to leave Marcus Rashford out of his team to face Senegal on Sunday.
The Manchester United forward fired in a brilliant brace against Wales on Tuesday to send the Three Lions into the World Cup's knockout stages as Group B winners.
Rashford broke the deadlock against Wales with a stunning free-kick
England star Rashford scored later in the second half as his side eased to a 3-0 win
Rashford - in for Raheem Sterling for the 3-0 win over The Dragons - dazzled in the rout to bring his tally to three goals at the World Cup.
In doing so, he is now the joint-top scorer in Qatar after he found the back of the net moments after coming off the bench in the opening 6-2 victory against Iran.
His first goal against Wales came from a stunning whipped free-kick shortly after the break, before finishing off a mazy run in the 68th minute.
And talkSPORT's McCoist believes there is no way that Southgate can justify dropping him for England's upcoming Round of 16 clash against Senegal.
Speaking on the Sports Breakfast, McCoist was asked by Laura Woods whether it would be hard for Southgate to leave Rashford out of his starting XI.
To which he said: "It's great to be honest with you.
McCoist believes Southgate cannot drop Rashford for Sunday's last-16 clash against Senegal
"He just looks a different human being Marcus.
"He was quick, he was strong, he was aggressive, he was direct, he was a threat, his goals were brilliant.
"I'm really, really pleased to see that.
"It's going to be difficult to leave him out after that performance isn't it? Lets be honest."
Rashford paid tribute to his late friend who recently passed away after scoring his first goal
Speaking after the match, Rashford revealed he has been grieving the loss of a friend in the run-up to the match with Wales.
After curling home his free-kick, Rashford dropped to his knees and pointed to the sky in what was a tribute to 'a great person'.
The 25-year-old remarked: "I lost one of my friends a couple of days ago
"He had quite a long battle with cancer. I'm pleased I scored for him, he's always been a big supporter of mine.
"He was just a great person and I'm pleased he came into my life, really."
