Hereford racing tips
2.00: Sashenka 5/1
Won over course and distance last time out which was the first since her wind surgery in January.
Seemed to have done the trick and got her first win over hurdles in good style under Tom Scudamore.
Horses tend to go even better the second time out and after such a long break (246 days) she should go well fresh today.
2.35: Mackelduff 3/1
Another horse at Hereford that could benefit and see a result coming into their race today for the second time since a wind op is Mackelduff for Olly Murphy and Aidan Coleman takes the reins today.
The grey gelding came second in March which seemed to have improved things and recorded a decent second.
He steps back in class today and is another that goes well straight after a break and could be dangerous as the top-weight here.
Plumpton racing tips
2.20: Lord Baddesley 5/4 (NAP)
Lots to like about most of these horses and Good News is a massive price considering he's looking to make it a five timer.
But the favourite should justify the shorter prices with Chris Gordon's horses going extremely well.
He boasts a 40% strike rate over the last two weeks and his seven-year-old managed to place behind Knappers Hill last time out.
He too steps back in class and under a strategic ride from Harry Cobden should see out the extended two and a half mile trip out the best closely followed by the rest with Light N Strike most likely vying for the places.
2.55: En Coeur 9/2
Slightly bigger field for the next one but it is a Class 5 Handicap Chase over 2m3½f.
Seamus Mullins' horse En Coeur looks primed for this - yet another of the day to be out for the second time since having wind surgery and also another to be dropping in class since their last run.
From 19 chase starts he has a pretty decent record but has been tumbling down the ratings, now at a dangerous mark of 89 and after a close second at Fontwell on season debut could go even better at a very attractive price.
Notably, En Coeur won off this mark in January by over seven lengths at this course.
3.30: Coolnaugh Haze 9/2 (NB)
Did well at Huntingdon beating Jeremey The Jinn and is a great two miler for Philip Hobbs.
Placed second in a Class 3 hurdle two starts ago and continues to be incredibly consistent over hurdles.
Should be even better now for his summer break and could progress off a great mark against some less exposed sorts today.
