Cristiano Ronaldo showed some respect to Man City ahead of despite apparently not getting any himself.
The Manchester United superstar almost signed for Pep Guardiola's side a year ago, and video footage of Ronaldo entering the Etihad Stadium ahead of the Manchester derby saw him move to avoid walking over the hosts' club crest.

He then made a point of avoiding walking across the Man City badge as he made his way to the dressing room
The club's crest is emblazoned on the carpet as players arrive at the Etihad, and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is seen taking a quick side step to avoid walking over it.
It was a classy sign of respect from Ronaldo in a game where he was 'disrespected' by his manager Erik ten Hag, according to talkSPORT pundit and football legend Graeme Souness.
Ronaldo watched the entire game from the bench as Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scored a hat-trick in the 6-3 mauling.
Ten Hag argued that he decided not to play the 37-year-old in the thrashing 'out of respect for Cristiano, for his big career' - which angered Roy Keane.
But former Liverpool player and manager Souness insisted he would have shown Ronaldo more respect by playing him, and the forward would have been seething in the dugout.
"Ronaldo has an argument for saying, 'I've been the best player ever' – he can sit with any group of players in the history of the game if they were still alive and argue that," the pundit told White and Jordan.
"So, the disrespect Manchester United are showing him now, I don't see the point in going through the aggravation which they have done in making him stay to not use him.
"It's disrespectful not to use him. I don't buy that [Ten Hag's explanation], I think you're showing more disrespect by not using him.
"I can tell you, Ronaldo would rather be on the pitch. Players want to play, you saw it on his face, the camera went to his face.
"And did you see the pictures of Ronaldo's face when these substitutions were being made? I know what he would have been thinking: 'Is this what it's come to? He [Ten Hag] thinks these players are better than me?'
Ronaldo was seen with his head in his hands in the first half as City took a big lead
"Ronaldo has got an ego that would choke a horse, and quite rightly so, he's been one of the best ever, and he would have been shaking his head and saying to himself, 'Really?'
"Ronaldo, along with Messi, I think the best player in the world is one of those two, and it's because of the levels they've done it at and their longevity.
"You can't live off your reputation forever, but I still think he's got something to offer. There's a use for Ronaldo in this Manchester United team where they are right now."
